The Titanic Players at Columbia College

Established in Chicago, IL in 2011

Titanic at Columbia College is the 7th chapter in our growing family. With the assistance of student Ryan Dalton, we hope to build to 4 groups on campus by 2015.

Steve Persch is a Chicago improviser currently performing with One Group Mind's Mrs. Ulysses, the Playground outreach team RECESS and Thirsty, the late-night improv drinking party. Past performances include TGIF: RAW at Gorilla Tango, Nickle and DIE! at The Annoyance Theater and The Awesome 80s Prom. Steve wrote for Big News, the weekly sketch comedy show at iO and Donny's Skybox and served as the assistant to the director for Around the World in 80 Days at Lookingglass Theatre Company. Steve is a graduate of Northwestern University's theatre program and has trained as an improviser at Comedy Sportz Milwaukee and Chicago, iO and The Titanic Players.

Jillian currently performs with One Group Mind's "Partyin' Yossarian," the Comedy Sportz Rec League, and is a student at the Second City Conservatory and iO. She has been teaching improv for over five years and performing for over eleven. A staff member at Improv Playhouse in Libertyville, she is the Director of the Improv and Theatre Games Camps as well as a member of the IP Touring Company. Jillian wrote and performed with the sketch ensembles "Man on a Ledge" and "Everybody Hurts," both of which saw multiple runs at Donny's Skybox and participated in Chicago Sketchfest (2010 and 2006). Past performances include Del Close Marathon 2006 with "Flocci Nauci," Titanic Players: Team Kaboot, DeBono, and Spicy Clamato. Teams she has coached include the Improv Playhouse Teen Ensemble and Titanic Players: Swivel Hip. Jillian holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2011).
